Allergic reaction of canine to foods are hard to pinpoint since sometimes the cause of allergy is part of the food (ingredients) or the food itself. Monitoring your canine meal is the best way to pinpoint triggering food to your pet allergy.

These symptoms are are also seen in other dogs health problem. To ensure if your canine is suffering from allergy visit your vet for skin scraping.
    What is Hypoallergenic Dog Food?

The answer is in the ingredients. Unlike other dog foods, hypoallergenic is easier for dog’s digestive system to digest thus eliminating an upset stomach. Plus, it  doesn't contain beef, wheat, soy, chicken or pork in it instead it has brown rice, rabbit, salmon, duck or venison meat that are more easier to digest.

Find the Best Hypoallergenic Dog Food

There are hundred of hypoallergenic dog food brands out in the market and finding one might be a great task. Not all commercialized canine food is good to your pet, it may look good but the truth is there are harmful ingredients in it. Always check the label when buying. To find the best/appropriate hypoallergenic food for your dog try to:

    • Ask your vet about hypoallergenic food for your dog
    • Make a research of different hypoallergenic dog food brands out there and compare the price, ingredients and quality.
    • Read other dog owners review about hypoallergenic dog food to help you choose. Reviews are great way to know what others experienced in the certain brand although different dogs have different reactions. Still it would be a great help in weighing things.

Some of the best low price hypoallergenic dog foo in the market are the following:

Nature's Variety - this dog food brand has 3 different varieties from grain free best for dogs that are allergic to grain. Instinct for dogs with meat and poultry allergic reaction and the Raw Frozen Diets for canine that are into BARF diet. This hypoallergenic food is available online or in your local pet store.

Go!Natural hypoallergenic food dog is available both in can and dry formula. Most of this canine food varieties are available in different sizes: 1 lb as a trial pack, 3 lb, 6 lb, 8 lb and for bigger sizes 25 and 30 lb.

Go!Natural hypoallergenic dog food variants are duck k9 formula, salmon, chicken and grain free. The duck k9 formula of Go!Natural main ingredients are deboned duck, oatmeal, whole oats, and potato. This dog food formula is said to have 12% fat and 22% protein. For more concise information check this Go!Natural dog food review.

Since my dogs does not suffer from food allergy, I don't have personal knowledge and experience with the said hypoallergenic dog food brand though most of friends with dogs uses either Go!Natural and Natures Variety. As they said the results are great and their dogs love it. One of my friend said the result varies for his two dogs with allergy using Go!Natural. The other one took almost 2 weeks to clear from allergy while the other one took almost 3 weeks.

Remember that curing food allergy in dogs and finding the right hypoallergenic dog food is a matter of trial and error so it is best to buy trial pack first. Don't get agitated if you don't see result right away, it will took some time normally in two weeks to clear your dog from allergy.

I moved our dog Lawrence over to Whites Premium which is gluten free and hypoallergenic and he's a different dog. He has more energy, his coat is shiny and he no longer makes those nasty smells! I can't praise this food enough but I know people have had trouble finding it. I get it from www.offyoutrot.co.uk who deliver it but I notice that they also send out free samples if people ask.
